IFS 54 kicked off as the final show of 2021 with 20 fights including one dual title bout between Isaac Delapaz from King Cobra MMA and Jake Ramirez of Muay Thai America. The five-rounder for the IFS and IKF Southern California Lightweight Title was awarded to Delapaz on split decision. The bout was so close, a rematch is scheduled for IFS 56 for Delapaz’s title defense. Mark your calendars for March 18th, 2022 — you don’t want to miss this one.

Referee Marc Reyes stopped the bout between Jim Truesdale of Heart and Pride Muay Thai for a TKO over Rudy Talavera of Muay Thai America in the 1st round. Jonathan O’Neill from Boxing Works TKO over Brian Tyler from the Boxing Club with Tyler’s corner stopping him before the start of Round Three. Superheavyweights Daniel Esparza at 296 pounds from Black Beard TKO’d 372-pounder Leonard Miller from Kings MMA at 1:38 of Round Two. The KO of the night was Gooch Academy’s Raeshawn Roland who KO’d Aragon Trainer Center’s Frank Bautista 12 seconds in the 2nd round.
Fans lined up outside the doors to get in the standing room capacity Grand Theatre as promoter Shawn Shilati hosted another exciting edition of the International Fight Showdown. Shilati says “As a promoter, I want to bring best experience to the fans. That’s why we use raised theatre seating, pyrotechnics, and top-notch stage and theatrical lighting to showcase the best of Muay Thai and Kickboxing action.”
